The Roma of Sintesti

A portrait of a Roma community in Romania, near Bucharest, photographed over a period of 30years. From 1990-1997, then again in 2004, 2006, and 2019, these images depict a community and culture in transition, from the post-Ceausescu Communist years through to the arrival of wealth and capitalism.
