Behind the scenes with the leaders of Scotland’s government.

Work from recent commissions to photograph with the Scottish government. Out on the road photographing the First Minister of Scotland John Swinney campaigning during recent national elections. From the beaches of Nairn and a portrait shoot there, to campaigning with SNP Member of Westminster Parliament for the Moray West, Nairn and Strathspey region, Graham Leadbitter. And behind the scenes on the the First Minister’s ‘battle bus’ as he toured the country in his hectic schedule.

Always great to see the rooms where decisions are made and to photograph with those in power who make decisions, and hence an enjoyable assignment to photograph in Edinburgh, at the Scottish Parliament with Deputy First Minister Kate Forbes in her office there. The interior of the Scottish Parliament is cramped, and not the most photogenic of places for photos shoots, but the timetables of the Government and ministers dictate where the shoots take place. None the less, fascinating to see.
