Going nuclear
I had the pleasure recently to visit and photograph within the Torness Nuclear Power Station, over on Scotland’s east coast. It’s always fascinating to get into such places, the camera once again acting as a passport to hidden worlds, or worlds that you at least can’t access easily.

Demolition on the Wyndford Estate
Yesterday I headed up to the north west side of Glasgow, to the Maryhill area, to watch as three tower blocks on the Wyndford Estate were brought down, demolished, in a controlled explosion. Always a fascinating event to witness, but also one with much poignancy.

Interview with Offline Journal

Harris Tweed zine, in the press
My recent zine publication, ‘Harris Tweed 1992’, with images from the Harris textile industry, was recently highlighted and written about in Scotland’s The Sunday Post newspaper, in a feature written by Patricia-Ann Young.

Clydebuilt, the launch of the Jo Selje
Ffoton Wales very kindly asked me to talk about the image, of the imminent launch of the Jo Selje chemical tanker ship, from the front of my recent Clydebuilt I zine. This image, from 1993, is very dear to me, so it was easy to fill 3-minutes…

Pigeons, Klondykers and Tweed!
Three new zines of social documentary photography from Scotland in the early 1990s showing photographs of Pigeon Auctions in Ayrshire; of the Harris Tweed industry in the Outer Hebrides; and of the East European Klondyker fish factory ships in Shetland.

Clydebuilt, stockists.
I’m delighted with the reception to the three Clydebuilt zines, showcasing my photography of the shipyards and ship launches on the River Clyde spanning thirty years, which were recently released, and I’d like to link to a few shops, galleries and museums who are stocking the zines.
