Rose Reilly, projected in Edinburgh

My portrait of Scottish footballing legend Rose Reilly, currently showing in the Scottish National Portrait Gallery, Edinburgh, was this past weekend projected onto the side of the National Galleries building on The Mound.

Alongside artworks by Van Gogh, Sir Edwin Landseer’s ‘Monarch of the Glen’, Scottish artist Ken Currie’s portrait of Professor Dame Sue Black in his painting ‘Unknown Man (2019)’, and fellow photographers Tricia Malley and Ross Gillespie with their portrait of The Proclaimers, and a portrait by Arpita Shah, the projections ran across three evenings, with the backdrop of Edinburgh Castle rising above them.

It was delightful to see art championed in such a way, projected at a size where people across the city could see it. All part of an initative by the National Galleries to promote that “This art belongs to you, it's yours to discover.”

Prints of the portrait of Rose Reilly are available to purchase. Please drop me a note.
